Edmonds Beauty: Late-summer favorites to enjoy — Part 2

Welcome to my late summer favorites, part 2:

Skin care

face -1So for face wash, I’ve been using First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser. So many people have been raving about this for years but it wasn’t till May that I decided to jump on the bandwagon. It’s amazing, I couldn’t be any happier.

face 2For exfoliant, I’ve been using two products. The first is Laura Mercier Flawless Skin’ Face Polish. This is just such a perfect skin exfoliant. Its perfectly round microfiber beads just feel they’re actually doing their job.

The next is actually an electric tool, which I am sure everyone has heard about it, it’s the amazing Clarisonic. I’ve been using this for the past year and it has done miracles. For those who have wrinkles, sun spots, acne scars- anything else in-between, this does it all. I personally love using it during the summer because I’m not using any makeup therefore I feel like I see faster and better results with my skin during this time. I’ve been really loving GlamGlow SuperMud clearing treatment. I’ve been using this once a week and just feel like I am the spa! I’ll put it on while reading, cleaning or just catching up on my favorite TV show. You’ll have baby soft skin in no time!

For my toner, I’ve been actually been using just rose water. Nothing fancy but sometimes simplicity is all you need. It closes pores and makes your face so soft. My “La Mere” moisturizer is something that I splurged on. This is a moisturizer on the fancier side and definitely something that you should really look into before getting just because it is pricey but this is just so incredible. Working and going to school isn’t a piece of cake at times. You can’t always get your beauty rest and don’t always have time to take of your body like you would ideally like. But when you have an amazing moisturizer, it changes it all. Last but not least, “Bite” has a new lip mask made from agave. Put it on before bed and your lips would be baby soft! Nerveless, you should always try and take care of your body because it’s the only one you have!

Hair care

Hair careFor hair, I’ve been loving my Kiehl’s shampoo and conditioner. Kiehl’s is a completely natural brand that can be found in department stores such as Nordstrom. This duo is made from sunflower seeds and it is also paraben- and sulfate-free. The one that I grabbed focuses on color- treated hair but they have options for just about everyone’s needs. Out of the shower, I like to use Identity1 thermal gel. I just work my way from my ends and then put the remanding throughout the rest of my hair. It’s just such an amazing product, doesn’t weigh down your hair and tames it all. And lastly, I just picked up some One ‘n Only Argan Oil hairspray from Ulta. This was completely by mistake but I was just head over heels after the first use. During the summer, I don’t like to use lot of heat in my hair so I’ll try to avoid it as much as possible and hair spray really helps, especially since I have such thick, frizzy hair.

For the body

SkinI’ve been loving SebaMed liquid face & body wash. It’s just so refreshing and puts all the necessary nutrients back into your skin. Especially if you have dry skin like me. It comes in bulk at Costco. Need I say more? After, I love to use a skin exfoliator. I have been self-tanning, which is so unlike me, I know, but I am just obsessed with it right now. Before I apply that, though, I like to prep my skin. I like to use a good skin exfoliator. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy. I’ve been using a body scrub from the Body Shop that I also got from Ulta and just apply with my hand or sometimes, with a loofah. Once I get out, I’ll use my holy grail self-tanner and that is St. Tropez Self Tanning Daily Moisturizer. I’ve tried just about everything and this one hits the nail on the head. it’s color is natural, there is no smell- I just absolutely adore it!

Thank you guys for checking out my late summer favorites! I’ll be back on track next month. Until then, stay gorgeous! MAUH!

  1. “…Laura Mercier Flawless Skin’ Face Polish. This is just such a perfect skin exfoliant. It’s [sic] perfectly round microfiber beads…” get into the sewage systems and into the Sound and oceans where various sea life mistake them for food. The micro beads are killers… you might want to rethink recommending their use. Thanks.
