Edwards posted the top time of 55.56 in preliminary heats for the 3A Girls 400 meter dash on Friday; she also ran the second-fastest time of 25.47 in preliminary heats of the 3A Girls 200 meter dash. Hunt competed at the state meet all four years of her high school career; in addition to her fourth place in the 100 meter hurdles this year, she finished second in the event as a junior and fourth as a sophomore; McKenna also picked up a seventh place finish in the 300 meter hurdles as a freshman.

Michael Liddell of Mountlake Terrace placed fifth in the 3A Boys long jump with his career best leap of 21-05.75.

In the 3A girls discus, Terrace’s Hailee Malins finished seventh with a toss of 120-11; the junior gets another chance for an individual state medal as she will compete in the 3A girls shot put on Saturday.
