Clothes For Kids will host a rummage sale Friday and Saturday, June 5-6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Many items will be for sale including adult clothing, dishes, knick-knacks, linens, toys and tools. The sale will be held in the Clothes For Kids building at 16725 52nd Ave. W. #B in Lynnwood.
Spring means Clothes for Kids goes into fundraising mode to begin building the back-to-school inventory for the next school year. The organization’s twice-yearly rummage sales are a great way for the community to support Clothes For Kids in its mission to assist children and families experiencing poverty and low-income situations.
Some children’s “play clothes” will also be for sale but the organization notes that Clothes For Kids never sells clothing designated for its school wardrobe program. Students who are eligible to receive free or reduced meals at school in Snohomish County and the Northshore School District are referred to Clothes For Kids to receive free clothing.
Clothes For Kids was able to provide 3,170 students with school clothing this academic year.
