Clubs & Activities: I was the Edmonds Heights K-12 Student Body Representative to the Edmonds School Board junior year. As a Running Start student at Edmonds Community College, I was the Arabic Club Vice President from fall quarter, 2013 to spring quarter, 2014. I competed on the Edmonds Heights K-12 Speech and Debate team freshman to sophomore year. During my time on the debate team, I was the team representative to the ASB. I came in second place for Interpretive Reading at the Glacier Peak High School debate tournament.
Honors: I’ve been on the Edmonds Community College Dean’s List for three consecutive quarters. I qualified for state in interpretive reading while on the speech and debate team freshman year.
Community Service: I have been Sunday School teacher at Iman Center of Kirkland junior through senior years. I started a girls youth program at Iman Center of Kirkland summer, 2013. I also was a camp counselor for Camp Ashab summer, 2013.
Significant School Project: I designed a new falcon logo for Edmonds Heights K-12 and the class of 2015 commencement programs with Marni Keogh, senior year. As a Running Start student at Edmonds Community College, I was on the staff for the college literary and art magazine Between the Lines in 2015. I worked on layout, design and placement of literary and art content.

Community Service: I have helped plant trees and clean up community centers with the Arbor Day Foundation. Also, I have helped build a small house for a poor family in Mexico. I have a trip planned to go to El Salvador this summer to help renovate the school and clean a soccer field.
Future Career Goals: I would love to be a professional fishing guide.
Anything else we should know: I really like going to the Edmonds Heights K-12. I can’t imagine going to any other school. I work hard and take my education seriously. When I have some spare time after my school work is done, I like to go fishing and hang out with my friends.

Anything else we should know? I am deaf and I use American Sign Language. I enjoy participating in various athletic activities and sports. I have really enjoyed robotics for the last two years. It was a thrill to attend Worlds FIRST Robotics Competition last year at St. Louis. (FIRST stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) I love strategy board games and riding my unicycle.

Clubs & Activities: I’ve been an active member of the Key Club for the past two years and involved with the DECA Marketing Club since my sophomore year. I am on the leadership team for DECA as the community services chairperson.
Athletics: I enjoyed playing soccer my freshman year and I’ve played doubles tennis all four years of high school.
Honors: I have been recognized academically for my accomplishments in International Baccalaureate Spanish 2 and Spanish 4. I’ve been a member of the National Honor Society since 10th grade and I’ve represented Edmonds-Woodway High at three state DECA competitions and at nationals this year.
Community Service: I have enjoyed giving back to my community. I participated in an advisory math tutoring program during school hours and a summer math tutoring program, too. I’ve volunteered as a kindergarten teacher helping at Chase Lake Elementary.
Significant School Project: My most significant school project was starting a group called “food for thought.” We raised over $1,500 to supply our school counselors with food gift cards to be given to students at EWHS dealing with teen hunger issues.
Current Employment: I worked my junior and most of my senior year as a waitress at Edmonds Landing. I’ll be a youth camp counselor this summer.
Future Educational Goals: I plan to attend a four-year university and study business administration with a focus in marketing.
Future Career Goals: I’d like to apply business and marketing skills to help others get meaningful jobs and find ways to give back to others through business ventures.
Anything else we should know? My time at Edmonds-Woodway has been super special. I want to thank my parents, coaches, teachers, counselors, and the EW staff for all their support. I will always be proud to be a Warrior!

Community Service: Volunteer regularly at the Lynnwood Food Bank and did some work through the Seattle chapter of The Nature Conservancy.
Current Employment: I work part time at Panera Bread of Edmonds and part time for At Your Service, Day of Event Services.
Future Educational Goals: I’m taking a gap year next year and moving down to Santa Cruz, California. I plan to gain lots of work experience, grow as a human being, travel the world, and have fun learning to surf. I’ll do all of this while gaining California state residency so that I may pay in-state tuition when I attend the University of California Santa Cruz in the fall of 2016.
Future Career Goals: I’m planning on studying environmental economics in college and want to move toward a career path that involves the creation, innovation and implementation of alternative energy sources while also dealing with the business aspect of it. Economics and saving the world are pretty interesting to me. I could also see myself becoming a pro surfer, so we’ll see.
