Edmonds-Historical-Museum_Summer-Market_Logo-TanLooks like the sun will be shining and the temperatures rising as we welcome back Gypsy Rows Farm to the market this week. They will be bringing a lovely selection of lettuces, radishes and more with them in their signature yellow school bus.

As a reminder, there is no market next week, as the City of Edmonds has is annual Independence Day Celebration, so stock up for the holiday weekend. There will be plenty of choices for the barbecue from Sky Valley Farm, Martiny Livestock, Gradwahl Beef, Wilson Fish, and our newest vendor, Bright Ide Acres. Bright Ide Acres is a small family farm located in Snohomish specializing in locally grown, ethically raised chicken. Their slow-growing chickens are extremely succulent and flavorful. For more information, check out their website.

Early peaches have arrived, and the cherries are at the peak of their season, so pick up some for snacking this week. Looking for great dessert ideas? Try the delicious berries available at Youngquist, Hayton and our newest berry vendor, Whitehorse Farm. Whitehorse Farm specializes in organic blueberries.

Finally, it would not be a market without flowers. The colors are amazing this season, and will jazz up any weekend or holiday gathering!

So, come down to the market this Saturday, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Bring your list, and check out our fine assortment of artisans. From soap and sauce makers to jewelers and wood turners, you will find something to bring a sparkle to your day.

  1. The first there in this sentence should also be spelled Their. “There slow-growing chickens are extremely succulent and flavorful. For more information, check out their website.” I’m glad to hear that Gypsy Rows Farm will be at the market this week.
