Talk about the power of “happy bucks.”
The Rotary Club of Edmonds Daybreakers has raised more than $500 in the past 30 days to support the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce-sponsored An Edmonds Kind of 4th of July celebration, which gets underway Saturday in downtown Edmonds.
“Over the last month the club has taken up donations and even given us their ‘happy bucks,'” said Chamber President and CEO Greg Urban. “The club raised an incredible $563.48 in one month, a testament to the members’ generosity and the love our community has for the Edmonds 4th of July festivities.”
The Edmonds Chamber, founded in 1907, has presented the community’s annual 4th of July celebration for 108 years, and this year is receiving generous support from the Hazel Miller Foundation, the business community and citizens of Edmonds.
