Silver Platters, one of the few remaining stores that sells new and used CDs, records and DVDs, is relocating its Northgate store to Lynnwood and is scheduled to open its doors on Tuesday, July 14.
The new store is located in Alderwood Village, 3715 196th St. SW., near the Lynnwood Convention Center and Chuck E Cheese’s. Silver Platters also has locations in Bellevue and Seattle (SoDo). The company has been in business for more than 26 years and says it carries the largest selection in both new and used CDs, DVDs & vinyl in the Northwest.
In addition to selling music and movies, the stores also occasionally host live musical performances. The move to Lynnwood was due to Sound Transit’s plans to take over the company’s Northgate building for the upcoming light rail system.
