Update: Lynnwood police arrest suspect in Shari’s parking lot shooting

Lynnwood police detectives have taken a man into custody connected to the shooting early Wednesday morning in the parking lot of Shari’s restaurant at 19428 Highway 99.

The 35 year-old man was arrested by Lynnwood detectives in the City of Mountlake Terrace at around 8:45 a.m., police said. The man is currently being held at the Lynnwood Jail for investigation of first-degree assault. Police are not looking for additional suspects at this time, but the case is still being actively investigated.

Occupants sitting in a parked vehicle reported being shot shortly after midnight. One man was transported to Harborview Medical Center for a gunshot wound. A vehicle fleeing the area after the shooting was located abandoned in the 7500 block of 190th Street Southwest in Lynnwood.

The victim’s identity is not being released at this time, police said.
