Ross Edward Anderson, beloved husband of Holly for almost 35 years, father of Eric and Christian, friend and mentor to many, and longtime Starbucks partner died Sunday, August 2, 2015 at home in Edmonds, WA. He had celebrated his 59th birthday with many friends just a couple of weeks earlier.
Ross loved gardening, baking, cooking, reading, cycling, walking, golf, baseball, travel and spending time with family and friends. His greatest joy of working at Starbucks was mentoring others in their careers. Just prior to his diagnosis with the brain cancer glioblastoma multiforme, he had begun to pursue a coaching certificate through the Hudson Institute to further his skills.
Holly, Eric and Christian thank all of the friends, family, neighbors and Starbucks colleagues who did so much to make this 15-month journey easier for Ross and us. Thanks also to Starbucks Coffee Company for its support; Lynne Taylor MD, Jen Lee RN, Charles Nussbaum MD, and all of the other health care providers at Virginia Mason for their compassionate care; and the wonderful caregivers from CareForce and Evergreen Hospice who made it possible for Ross to be at home.
A memorial service will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lynnwood. A celebration of life luncheon will take place at Holy Rosary Pastoral Center in Edmonds on Thursday, Sept. 10 at noon. The address is 760 Aloha St; please enter the Holy Rosary lower parking lot on 7th Avenue.

Memorials are suggested to the Edmonds Food Bank, where Ross volunteered during his Coffee Break from Starbucks and during his illness as he was able, or to a charity of your choice.
For better for worse, for richer for poorer, till death do us part. I will love you forever.
