Fire District 1 logoSnohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 837 calls July 16-29: 617 emergency medical aid calls, 66 motor vehicle collisions, 73 fires, 34 service calls, 5 natural gas leaks, 1 hazardous materials call and 41 automatic fire alarms.

July 16

COLLISION: At 11:25 a.m., a car went off the pavement and rolled into blackberry bushes on the side of southbound I-5 south of 128th Street SW. Firefighters freed the occupant from the wreckage and transported him to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

BRUSH FIRE: At 3:18 p.m., firefighters extinguished a brush fire at Avondale Road and Center Road south of Everett. No one was injured.

July 17

COLLISION: At 2:19 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at Highway 99 and Manor Way south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room.

COLLISION: At 6:10 p.m., two cars were involved in a collision on northbound I-5 north of 164th Street SW. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

July 18

HOUSE FIRE: At 6:54 a.m., firefighters responded to a house fire reported in the 7600 block of 171st Street SW in Edmonds. The fire was contained to the den. All residents exited safely. No injuries were reported.

CAR FIRE: At 3:02 p.m., firefighters extinguished a car fire at 212th Street SW and 76th Avenue W in Edmonds.

BRUSH FIRE: At 6:44 p.m., firefighters extinguished a brush fire at Admiralty Way and Lincoln Way north of Lynnwood. No one was injured.

July 19

COLLISION: At 2:01 p.m., a three-car collision occurred on southbound I-5 at the I-405 interchange. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

July 21

COLLISION: At 6:51 a.m., a car struck a bicyclist at 62nd Avenue W and Beverly Park Road north of Edmonds. Firefighters transported the injured cyclist to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

July 22

COLLISION: At 3:02 p.m., firefighters responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and a car in the 11900 block of Highway 99 south of Everett. The motorcyclist died at the scene. Firefighters transported one patient to Harborview Medical Center and another patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

COLLISION: At 10:58 p.m., a car struck a utility pole and rolled onto its roof in the 3700 block of 164th Street SW north of Lynnwood. Two other cars were also involved. Firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

July 23

COLLISION: At 4:19 p.m., there was a two-car collision at 217th Street SW and 48th Avenue W in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported two patients to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

July 24

COLLISION: At 10:47 a.m., a two-car collision was reported at Filbert Road and Locust Way east of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

COLLISION: At 3:25 p.m., a three-car collision occurred at 164th Street SE and 3rd Avenue SE north of Bothell. Firefighters transported one patient to Evergreen Hospital.

COLLISION: At 10:35 p.m., a car and a motorcycle collided at 216th Street SW and 66th Avenue W in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported the injured motorcyclist to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

July 27

COLLISION: At 12:01 p.m., firefighters responded to a collision in the 22100 block of Highway 99 in Edmonds and transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
