Thursday, Sept. 17 from 6-7 p.m.
Join Katherine Figel, RDN, CD from PacMed’s Living Well Alliance Program to learn about the unique lifestyles, diet, and traits that centenarians (people over the age of 100) around the world have in common. Practical tips on making small and realistic health changes will be provided which may help increase lifespan and longevity.
Exotic Flavors Cooking Class: Middle Eastern Cuisine
Sept. 22, at either 5:30-6:45 p.m. or 7:15-8:30 p.m. (The class will be the same during each time slot. People should sign up for one of the two options.)

Counting Calories and Cash: Easy Recipes for Your Family
Monday, Sept. 28 from 6-8 p.m.
Attend a “virtual grocery store tour” led by Katherine Figel and learn about label reading, healthy eating on a budget, new approaches to healthy meals and new foods to try. Time is reserved for participants’ questions about grocery shopping or foods. Following the virtual tour, the group will move to Verdant’s demonstration kitchen for a cooking class focused on strategies for busy families to create healthy and tasty meals. You’ll learn how to make easy, nutritious and delicious recipes, including a step-by-step approach to planning menus and shopping lists. Enjoy delicious samples and take home new skills to serve your family great food that you feel good about.
