Phil Olson of Mountlake Terrace was the first place finisher in the 5k race. Cam Ross, who was running for Terrace Park School, and his dog Linus were the first human/dog runners across the finish line. Laura Hunter of Lynnwood was the first female finisher. The Lynnwood Drum line won the Battle of the Bands competition. The Mountlake Terrace High School cheerleaders performed for the crowd. Among the many volunteers who cheered on the runners were the Meadowdale High School cheerleaders. Walkers begin their 5k trek around Alderwood Mall. For the third straight year, Lynndale Elementary School won the school competition for most runners.
