Downtown Edmonds will welcome thousands of trick-or-treaters and their families Halloween night, with the following activities planned:
From 5-7 p.m., the Edmonds Historical Museum presents its annual Haunted Museum, described as a “friendly” haunting on the lower level of the museum, 118 5th Ave. N. A $1 donation is requested at the door. Fortune cookies for the kids. Learn more here.
From 5-7 p.m., the streets of downtown Edmonds will be closed and local businesses will pass out candy to over 3,000 costumed kids. The event, sponsored by the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, also includes a best-costume contest for all ages, including parents and dogs.
The chamber promises that there are “many fun activities planned, and some are being kept under a veil of secrecy in the true spirit of Halloween! The weather is looking a bit wet but don’t fret, the festivities will continue rain-or-shine.”
The chamber event is being sponsored by Windermere Real Estate of Edmonds, Dewar Meeks + Ekrem PC and Rusty Pelican.
Event information at www.edmondswa.com or the Edmonds Chamber office at 425-670-1496.
Please tell me there won’t be dogs running among the crowd now, too!
National Weather Service has issued high wind and flood advisories for W. WA through Sunday, so please DO come to the Edmonds Halloween celebration, but come prepared for what could be spooky weather!
