Ballots for the Aug. 2, 2016 primary election were mailed July 14 and should have been received in your mailbox. Included are primary races for statewide offices, including governor, plus races for State Legislature as well as U.S. Congress.

You may register to vote in person at the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office, 3000 Rockefeller Ave. in Everett, until July 25.
Return your ballot through a ballot drop box or through the mail.
There are nearby ballot drop boxes located just outside the downtown Edmonds Library on Main Street and in front of Lynnwood City Hall at 19100 44th Ave. W. They must be deposited there (no postage required) by 8 p.m. Election Day, Aug. 2.
If mailing, use a stamp and make sure your ballot will be postmarked or cancelled by Aug. 2.

Preliminary results will be posted on election night, shortly after 8 p.m. Aug. 2.
Real first and last names — as well as city of residence — are required for all commenters.
