Fire District 1 fire calls, July 28-Aug. 3

Fire-District-1-logoSnohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 501 calls July 28-Aug. 3: 400 emergency medical aid calls, 31 motor vehicle collisions, 28 fires, 18 service calls, 5 natural gas leaks, 1 rescue and 18 automatic fire alarms.

July 28
DUPLEX FIRE: At 2:03 p.m., firefighters extinguished a fire that caused more than $180,000 damage to a duplex in the 300 block of 107th Street SW south of Everett. The residents evacuated safely. The fire was started by hot oil which ignited on the stovetop.

COLLISION: At 5:39 p.m., firefighters responded to a vehicle that crashed into a building the 3100 block of 164th Street SW north of Lynnwood. One person was injured and taken to an area hospital. Damage to the building was minor.

COLLISION: At 6:03 p.m., a four-car rear-end collision was reported in the 15200 block of 52nd Avenue W in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

July 29
COLLISION: At 9:09 p.m., a vehicle struck a pedestrian at 212th Street SW and 80th Avenue W in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

July 30
COLLISION: At 12:51 p.m., a pickup truck and a motorcycle collided in the 23300 block of Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

Aug. 1
COLLISION: At 12:12 p.m., a car struck a power pole at the corner of 153rd Street SW and 35th Avenue W north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

COLLISION: At 3:35 p.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 13900 block of Highway 99 north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

COLLISION: At 6:22 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at 128th Street SW and E Gibson Road south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

COLLISION: At 6:44 p.m., a car and a motorcycle collided in the 10110 block of Edmonds Way in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

Aug. 3
COLLISION: At 2:46 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at 220th Street SW and Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

BRUSH FIRE: At 4:31 p.m., firefighters extinguished a 60-foot by 60-foot brush fire at Brier Elementary School. No structures were damaged and no one was injured.

CAR FIRE: At 4:54 p.m., firefighters extinguished a car fire near Gibson Road and Admiralty Way south of Everett. No one was injured.
