Great photo! What kind of whale was this?
Looks like a gray whale, but it is hard to tell.
It was a humpback whale that a lot of people were watching off the Edmonds Fishing Pier also. It was slapping its long pectoral fins on the water repeatedly and breaching attracting a lot of attention by passing people.
