With only two weeks left of the market season, join us Saturday for a day of shopping, munching and having fun.

It is a great time to stock up on you meat for fall cooking. Sky Valley and Bright Ides have a wide variety of poultry and pork, perfect for stews, roasts, and so much more. Wilson Fish will have fresh or smoked salmon, and more. Finally, Ramstead Beef has great cuts of beef still available. If you are looking for a fun way to cook your meals, check out Cooked on Clay, for their last appearance at the market this season.

Thinking about the games this weekend? Pick up a pie or two from Deborah’s, a couple of cupcakes from Sweet Pearl, some salsa from Bubba, BBQ Sauce from Loco Lolo, pasta from Pasteria Lucchese, or dips from Serendipity or Kitchen Bitches.

Then, of course, there is a wonderful selection of fresh veggies to grill, bake or roast. From squashes and peppers to potatoes and garlic, so many locally grown tastes to accent your meals with. Not into veggies? Check out the fresh apples, pears, plums and other fruits from Collins, Martins, Acme, or Bautista. Whether you made some pie of your own or some fresh sauces, or just snack on these fresh fruits, you will not be disappointed.

Finally, while visiting with your favorite farmers, it might be time to start shopping for the holidays. So many of our local artists have handmade, unique items perfect as gifts from friends and family. With a selection featuring locally produced wood crafts, soaps, earrings, jams, photography, lavender products, beeswax candles, just to name a few, you can find something for everyone on your list.

So, take your time and wander the market, enjoy the sunshine, and have freshly made donuts, kettle corn, wontons, or a lunch special from one of our vendors.
