Edmonds Chamber of Commerce accepting 2017 board nominations

edmonds chamber logoThe Edmonds Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Chamber of Commerce Board.

Board members serve three-year terms, with a maximum service of three terms. Chamber bylaws allow as many as 30 board members but the number is usually kept at fewer than 25. The goal is to strengthen board representation to include a diverse cross section of the business community.

The nomination process is a simple online form available on the Edmonds Chamber website at www.edmondswa.com. Self-nominations are open until Friday, Nov. 11. The only requirements for board service are that you or your business is an active member of the chamber and your account is in good standing.

Since just three people staff the chamber office, the chamber relies on its volunteers and board members are expected to serve on committees and dedicate their time to chamber events.

The Board of Directors meets from 7:30 to 9 a.m. the third Thursday every month.

Questions about the Edmonds Chamber, membership or the application process should call the Chamber office at 425-670-1496 or email greg@edmondswa.com.
