Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a Monday night shooting that left a man dead in the unincorporated Meadowdale neighborhood near Edmonds.
Deputies were dispatched at 10:56 p.m. to multiple reports of shots fired in the 15900 block of 56th Avenue West, and at least one caller reported that someone had been shot.
Upon arrival, deputies found a vehicle with a deceased male who was believed to have been shot, said Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. David Bowman While there was no suspect information immediately available, detectives were interviewing possible witnesses and investigating through the night.
The location is a primarily residential area, Bowman said, and the property where the shooting occurred “consists of an unusually large property for the area surrounded by several neighborhoods.”
Deputies deployed a K-9 in attempt to locate any suspects who may have fled on foot, but no one was located, he added.
Anyone with any information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 425-388-3845.

I asked about it on Tuesday and there were no updates. I just left another message with the sheriff’s office. — Teresa
Thank you!
Still nothing much new on this case, per the sheriff’s office. Received this email from spokesman David Bowman: “I can say that detectives are pursuing leads and working diligently on this case. We don’t believe the general public are in danger; beyond that we don’t have anything to release.”
Has the victim’s name been released?
Not yet — that will come from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner. I checked today and the autopsy results were not yet available.
