Looking for a great wreath or swag to dress up your home for the holidays? Want to support your community at the same time? Then get down to this weekend’s Holiday Flair Boutique in the Art Works at Second and Dayton and head for the Floretum Garden Club table for the best fresh-cut decor in town, all custom-assembled by club members.

“All our greens come from members’ gardens right here in Edmonds,” said Floretum’s Janice Noe as she looked up from assembling a one-of-a-kind decoration at Thursday’s wreath-making workshop. “We’ve got a huge variety of fresh-cut material including Euonymus, Bay Laurel, Heather, Snowberry, various cones and seed pods, as well as the usual holly, fir, cedar and juniper branches. These combine to make stunning decorations you just won’t find anywhere else.”

Each wreath and swag is hand-made by Floretum volunteers, and every one is different, ensuring a unique and festive touch for your home that’s sure to draw compliments from your holiday guests.

Wreaths go on sale starting at noon Friday at the Art Works Holiday Flair Boutique at Second and Dayton. The boutique runs through Saturday, but with prices for most Floretum wreaths between $10 and $20 they’re sure to go fast, so get there early for the best selection. Proceeds stay right in the community, supporting the Floretum Scholarship Fund and the ongoing work of the club.

Organized in 1922, the Floretum Club remains a premier force in beautifying Edmonds through public plantings, sponsoring education workshops, and providing an annual scholarship for horticulture students. Learn more about the Edmonds Floretum Garden Club here.

    1. Thanks for the coverage, Larry. I love the immediacy of My Edmonds News. After this article ran we sold every wreath, swag, and table arrangement. I wish I had bought one of my creations when I had the chance!
