Does anyone know what barred owls eat? We have had weird sounds and a black feather on our backyard lawn. Many birds find shelter among our native plants. Just wondering…

These are great photos. We hear the distinctive calls of the barred owls at night. What wonderful creatures!
We luv our “Edmonds owls” … and ALL of our “feathered friends”!! I have “jays” sunning themselves on the ground in my backyard … in the same manner … spreading their wings of beautiful blue feathers! Amazing beauty!
