Lorene Edwards Forkner, editor of Pacific Horticulture Magazine, author and avid gardener, will speak on “3 Big Rules (& 4 small ones) for Designing Gardens” from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Edmonds Theater, 415 Main St.
In the new world of city-sized gardens, high-density urban housing and precious few hours for leisure — and even fewer for slaving in the garden — you have to be a master of invention or mistress of ingenuity when it comes to fitting a garden into a busy 21st century life. Today’s savvy gardeners are creating small gardens with big impact that enhance our lives and still allow time for relaxing.
Pacific Horticulture magazine is a quarterly publication exploring plants and gardens on the West Coast and from similar growing regions around the world, and featuring the gardeners who tend them.
