The Olympic Fly Fishers of Edmonds will teach a beginning fly tying class starting later in January at the Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main St., in Edmonds.
“This is an excellent opportunity to get into fly tying and fly fishing,” said Jim Traner of the Olympic Fly Fishers.
Cost for the class is $57 for residents or $65 for non-residents. It runs 6-7:30 p.m. Thursdays starting Jan. 25 through Feb 22.
All materials are provided or you can bring your own vice and tools. Free membership in Olympic Fly Fishers for 2018 is included when you join the class. You can register here.
Traner notes that the Olympic Fly Fishers of Edmonds meets on the second Wednesday of the month at the Edmonds Senior Center and is open to men and women of all skill levels. “Each month we have a speaker addressing some aspect of fishing in the Northwest,” he said.
