The Easter Bunny is getting a big helping hand from parents and students at Holy Rosary School.

Every year, volunteers from the school and parish gather donations to compile hundreds of Easter baskets to distribute to families in need throughout our community. The ‘Easter Basket Brigade’ was in full swing Friday in the Holy Rosary School cafeteria, where parents and students put together at least 850 Easter baskets for delivery this holiday. This year, the volunteers also added infant supplies and baby baskets to their list to distribute to babies of homeless families in our area.

The Easter Basket project was started in 1989 by two Holy Rosary moms, the “Two Flos:” Flo Picardo and Flo Baus. It has continued every year since during Easter season, serving thousands of families in our community.
