Honors: I have been a part of National Honors Society since sophomore year.
Awards: In Students Saving Salmon, we were awarded the Sustainability Heroes Award from the Edmonds Mayors Climate Protection Committee. I also won Better Ground Showcase Youth Conservation Leader of the Year from the Snohomish Conservation District. Additionally, I was nominated for the Governor’s Volunteer Service Award from the Sno-Isle libraries.
Community Service: I have volunteered at the Sno-Isle Edmonds library weekly since eighth grade. Students Saving Salmon is also a great opportunity to volunteer, as we collect data about water quality and stream conditions in an effort to bring awareness to the salmon and better their habitats (and possibly bring them back to some watersheds).
Future Educational Goals: I am attending Reed College next school year, and am planning on majoring in environmental studies.
Future Career Goals: I don’t have a specific career in mind, but do want to stay involved in ecology, possibly doing similar work to what I am doing in Students Saving Salmon now, such as collecting data like water quality measurements in the field and/or working on data analysis.

Community Service: Through the Edmonds Police Explorers, I have provided traffic and crowd control at the Edmonds Fourth of July parade and Holiday Tree Lighting, overnight security during the Edmonds Arts Festival and Taste of Edmonds, and have also helped in the training of commissioned police officers.
Current Employment: I currently hold employment as a Dish Machine Operator at Anthony’s Homeport on the Edmonds Marina.
Future Educational Goals: I plan on earning my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Washington, and also plan on earning an Advanced degree.
Future Career Goals: I am interested in careers in the practice of law, the practice of medicine, and engineering. My involvement in the Edmonds Police Explorers has also opened me up to the possibility of law enforcement as a career.
