Reminder: Next planning meeting against coal trains through Edmonds set for Wednesday

Sustainable Edmonds and the Sierra Club are continuing their ongoing planning meetings to oppose a proposal to have mile-and-a-half-long coal trains passing through Edmonds on their way to Bellingham. Soccer: E-W boys defeat Mariner, 1-0

Jeremy Wentzel scored in the 30th minute for Edmonds-Woodway as the Warriors defeated Mariner Friday night, with Danny Dubois on the assist. Goalkeeper Erik Whitney earned the shutout. E-W is now 1-1-1 on the season.

Congratulations to Warrior wrestlers headed to state!

The following Edmonds-Woodway High School wrestlers will be competing at the state tournament in the Tacoma Dome this Friday and Saturday: Andrew Vulliet, 112 lbs.; Matt Cuzzetto, 119 lbs.; Mac Hutchison, 125 lbs.; Ryan Deweese, 130 lbs. and Zach Perez, 171 lbs. Meadowdale football wins, girls soccer loses
