It doesn’t get much better than a 3.98 grade point average, but that’s the combined GPA of the 2009 Edmonds-Woodway High School girls cross country team, which won the Fall 2009 Academic State Champion Award for all cross country girls teams in the Washington State 4A classification.
The award, announced by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA), is open to all varsity and JV/freshman sports teams, activity squads such as dance, drill and cheer, and fine arts groups including bands, choirs, orchestras, dramatic troupes and forensics teams.
The cross country team is coached by Joe Hamilton.
