‘Ivanov’ debuts at EWHS theater

The Edmonds-Woodway High School Players tonight open their production of “Ivanov,” a classic drama by Anton Checkhov.

Once a man of great influence and means, Ivanov has fallen into debt and out of love with his wife, Anna, who is slowly dying from tuberculosis. Spending his evenings away at the home of the Lebedevs among the idle and morally corrupt, Ivanov finds himself drawn to Sasha, the daughter of his wealthy friend, who appears determined to save him. What will become of Ivanov and Anna’s relationship? Will Ivanov find away out of his debt and depression? And what of Sasha? Come see the show to find out.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with a matinee performance Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Edmonds-Woodway High School theater, 7600 212th St. S.W., Edmonds. Tickets at $7 for adults and $5 for seniors, children and students (with ASB card).
