Stealing food, beverages, clothes, razors and even a car seemed to be the crime of choice during Thanksgiving week, along with juvenile drinking, reckless driving and twin-brother assault, according to reports pulled from the Edmonds Police Department,

Nov. 21, 22600 block of Hwy 99: A man attempted to pay for a soda at a convenience store with a counterfeit $20 bill. The man denied knowing the bill was counterfeit and claimed an acquaintance gave it to him.

Nov. 22, 9600 block of 232nd Street Southwest: Investigation of a neighborhood disturbance led to discovery of a juvenile drinking party, and a subsequent traffic stop results in a citation for minor in possession.

Nov. 23, 22800 100th Avenue West: An intoxicated female was arrested for consuming alcohol in a store at 9:31 a.m. after it was discovered she had no money or credit card to pay for the consumed merchandise.

Nov. 23, 9500 block of 244th Street Southwest: Several thefts were reported overnight in the parking lot of an apartment complex, with stolen items including a car stereo, a laptop, a hard drive and a 2006 Kia Sorrento.

Nov. 24:

21900 block of Hwy 99: A grocery store reports hat $1,300 worth of razors were stolen.

24000 block of Hwy 99: An adult female who shoplifted items from a local clothing store was booked into Snohomish County Jail after outstanding warrants were discovered.

21900 block of Hwy 99: A suspect attempted to shoplift consumable goods at a grocery store. He was arrested and during a search police discovered additional stolen property from a nearby thrift store.

Nov. 25:

22400 block of Hwy 99: A female was cited for being in an area where she had been previously arrested for prostitution.

21900 block of Hwy 99: A man was arrested after attempting to steal a bottle of wine. Shortly after that, a man attempted to steal a cooler full of beverages from a grocery store while working as a beverage vendor at the store. An hour later, two suspects were arrested after they stole food, and were identified as the same suspects responsible for previous high-dollar thefts at the store, as well as another store in Shoreline. During the arrest, one of the suspects resisted arrest, pushing and kicking the store’s loss prevention agent. Both suspects were booked into Snohomish County Jail.

Nov. 26:

220th block of Hwy 99: A man was arrested at Lynnwood Honda after he was found in possession of vehicle theft tools and dangerous weapons.

18300 block of 73rd Avenue West: A car’s driver’s side window was smashed and a GPS unit was stolen from the dashboard

7200 block of 182nd Street Southwest: An intoxicated adult male was arrested for assaulting his twin brother.

Nov. 28, 22800 block of 100th Avenue West: A driver was issued a criminal citation for reckless driving during a road rage incident.
