Burn ban lifted in Snohomish County

Due to improved weather conditions in Kitsap and Snohomish counties, the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency has lifted the burn bans for those counties. A Stage 2 burn ban remains in effect for Pierce County until further notice.

Improved weather conditions have allowed for air quality to improve in Kitsap and Snohomish counties. Pollution levels in parts of Pierce County, however, continue to reach the category of “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.” This means people who are sensitive to air pollution are at greater risk from exposure. Sensitive groups include people with lung disease or asthma, older adults, and children.
