My Edmonds News is pleased to introduce The Gossip Gals. Join Edmonds’ own Betty and Veronica as they dish about the latest heard on the street, in the bars and around the coffee houses of our town.

Betty: I love having drinks at Our Place, but I was wondering if we should check out The Babe of Main Street. It’s been the talk of the town ever since it opened a month ago.

Veronica: I heard that people had to wait in line for a table last weekend!

Betty: And someone told ME that they stole the chef from Our Place.

Veronica: I’ve seen a lot of loyal patrons from here sneaking into The Babe to check it out! Have you been there yet?

Betty: Not yet. I’ve heard good things but I have a hard time giving up Our Place.

Veronica: I’m with you. Joe the Bartender is so dang charming and the New Guy is fun to look at!

Betty: He doesn’t talk, does he?

Veronica: He doesn’t need to!

Betty: Speaking of bartenders, I heard that Jeff from Down the Street is gone too! What is going on??

Veronica: Yikes! Jeff is gone? Who is pouring the drinks there?

Betty: A new guy named Chauncey, and I hear he likes to Salsa!

Veronica: Ohhhhh! Salsa! That is what this town needs! A sultry Salsa dance floor!

Betty: Yes!!! Maybe that’s what the old 5th Ave grill should turn into?

Veronica: Or a Jazz Club! I’ve always loved that idea – Live Music!!!
