Among the reports pulled from Edmonds Police Department files in the past week:
Dec. 14: 8100 block of 238th Street Southwest. A suspect shoplifts one can of beer from a 7-11 by tucking it into the back of his pants at the waistband, under his coat. When confronted by the owner outside the store, he flees – in a minivan.
Dec. Â 16:
-A woman is booked into the Snohomish County Jail after she hits her boyfriend in the face.
-A suspect is arrested after stealing nearly $150 in food from TOP Foods. Not only that, he drove to the store with a suspended license.
-Checks are stolen after they are placed in the outgoing mail in the 7700 block of 175th Street Southwest. (Note: six days earlier, checks were stolen from a mailbox in the 7000 block of 174th and cashed fraudulently.)
Dec. 19:
-A possible gang- or drug-related assault is reported outside the 7-11 store. The suspects fled the area and the juvenile victim was uncooperative with police.
-An adult male is arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle in the 24300 block of 76th Avenue West. He was booked into Snohomish County Jail.
Dec. 20: 800 block of Birch Street. Two intoxicated subjects argue; one is chased to obtain car keys, is tackled and suffers a broken arm.
