Edmonds-Woodway and Meadowdale girls basketball teams both scored victories in Friday night Wesco South basketball action, while the boys teams for both schools suffered defeats.
At Mariner High School, the Lady Warriors defeated the Marauders 62-31. Sydney Donaldson was high scorer for E-W, with 14, while Angela Woods added 12.
The Lady Mavericks, meanwhile, beat Kamiak 60-45. Top scorers in the girls’ home victory were Margreet Barhoum with 14, and Gabi Beyer and Julia Fjortoft with 10 each.
Connor Hamlett scored 28 points as the Meadowdale boys lost to to Kamiak on the Knights’ home court, 67-61. Edmonds-Woodway’s boys weren’t able to overcome Mariner, losing 58-56 in Edmonds. Andy Willcock led the Warriors with 15,
