Lady Warriors move to top of Wesco South with win over Jackson

Edmonds-Woodway’s girls basketball team scored a convincing 68-52 win over Jackson on the Timberwolves’ home court Wednesday night, securing sole possession of first place in Wesco South. The Lady Warriors also are ranked No. 10 in the latest Associated Press state girls basketball poll.

E-W is now 12-1 overall, 10-1 in league.

Leading scorers for the Warriors were Angela Woods and Madeline Kasper, who each had 15.

Meadowdale High School’s girls, meanwhile, lost to Glacier Peak, 61-56. Margreet Barhoum scored 18 points to lead the Lady Mavericks.
