Edmonds police captured a burglary suspect and recovered a stolen car near Lake Ballinger Monday afternoon after an alert neighbor in the 23600 block of 74th Avenue West heard crashing sounds inside a nearby home and called police.
Police spokesperson Sgt. Don Anderson said the neighbor saw two suspicious vehicles parked outside the house and called police at 3:50 p.m. One suspect fled on foot and a K9 unit conducted a search, but he was not located. A second suspect, a 20-year-old Seattle man, was stopped by a patrol officer as he attempted to drive away from the scene. He was booked into Snohomish County Jail on a residential burglary charge.
Police recovered the victim’s property, and also discovered that one of the vehicles used in the burglary was stolen out of Bellevue, Anderson said.
