Applications now being accepted for 2010 Edmonds Art Festival

Artists are invited to apply to the 53rd Annual Edmonds Arts Festival Juried Art Show. Held on Father’s Day weekend, June 18-20, the Festival is one of the longest running in the Northwest, attracting artists from across the nation.

Profits from the Edmonds Arts Festival are returned to the community through the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation. Programs include art scholarships, educational grants, public art installations, and ArtWorks, a gathering place for artists in downtown Edmonds.

Entry categories include:

Artisans Works: Fine art crafts based on functional concepts. Includes works in clay, mosaic, metal, jewelry, wood, glass and fiber.

Drawings: Graphite, colored pencil, silverpoint, chalk, crayon, pen & ink, cont and mixed media with drawing dominant.

Miniatures: Same media specifications as paintings, prints and drawings.

Paintings: Oil, acrylic, pastel, tempera, airbrush, gouache, encaustic, batik, fresco, watercolor, collage and mixed media with painting dominant.

Photography: Film, digital or altered images originating from a film or digital camera.

Prints: Relief, intaglio, mezzotint, lithograph, serigraph, monoprint, collograph and mixed media with print making dominant.

Sculpture: Nonfunctional three-dimensional art of any material.
