Yes, I want want to support My Edmonds News!Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 288 calls the week of Feb. 11-17: 245 emergency medical aid calls, 14 motor vehicle collisions, 12 fires, two natural gas leaks, five service calls and 10 automatic fire alarms. Here are highlights from calls in Edmonds:
Feb. 11
FIRE. At 11:23 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire in a second-floor apartment in the 400 block of Dayton Street in Edmonds. The fire was contained to a small area of a bathroom wall. No one was injured. Investigators determined the cause of the accidental fire was electrical. Damage is estimated at $500.
COLLISION. A car went down a small embankment and crashed into a tree at South Deer Drive and Wachusett Road in Woodway at 5:44 p.m. Firefighters transported one patient to Stevens Hospital.
February 12
COLLISION. Firefighters took one patient to Stevens Hospital after responding to a one-car collision at 238th Street Southwest and Highway 99 in Edmonds at 8:36 p.m.
February 14
COLLISION. Firefighters extricated a man from a car that crashed in the 9600 block of Firdale Avenue  in Edmonds at 6:36 a.m. Medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center.
February 15
COLLISION. Firefighters took one patient to Stevens Hospital after responding to a multi-car collision at the King-Snohomish County line at 9:10 p.m.
