Edmonds’ newest councilmembers schedule monthly Town Hall meetings

Unwilling or unable to speak your mind about city matters at an Edmonds City Council meeting? Feeling disenfranchised with city government? Starting Friday, Feb. 26, you’ll have a monthly opportunity to express your opinions outside of the council chambers.

Edmonds City Council members Diane Buckshnis and Adrienne Fraley-Monillas will begin sponsoring monthly Town Hall meetings so that citizens can offer ideas and feedback. The first meeting is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 26 at Prestige Care and Rehabilitation, 21008 76th Ave. W., Edmonds.

The council’s two newest members hope that Edmonds residents and business owners will take advantage of this opportunity to speak their minds. Comment cards will also be available for those who want to write down their ideas.

Buckshnis and Fraley-Monillas plan to hold meetings through Edmonds’ various neighborhoods to involve citizens in each area of the city.
