What’s the most interesting item we saw in our latest perusal of Edmonds Police Department reports? Perhaps the guy who poured bleach and noodles into the gas tank of someone he argued with – we get the bleach, but noodles? And then there’s the thief who got away with 4 1/2 cases of beer from the local grocery store. We suspect he was planning ahead for his Super Bowl party…

Feb. 9, 9300 block 244th Street Southwest: A verbal argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend leads to boyfriend hitting girlfriend and choking her until she is unconscious.

Feb. 8, 8300 block Sierra Drive: A 23-year-old man is charged with malicious mischief after he is seen pouring bleach and noodle mixture into the gas tank of a person he’d argued with the previous evening.

Feb. 5:

900 block Sprague Street: Two outgoing padded mail envelopes are stolen from a resident’s mailbox.

7300 block 175th Street Southwest: Victim reports theft of a UPS package delivered the same day

Feb. 3, 22300 block Hwy 99: Police stop a vehicle to cite passengers for not wearing seatbelt; one of the car’s occupants is found to be in possession of stolen property.

Feb. 1, 18600 block Soundview Place: A homeowner reports returning from vacation to discover that a house sitter had friends over while she was gone, and $900 in cash is now missing from an unsecured safe.

Jan. 31, 23800 block of Hwy 99: Suspect enters the back “employees only” stockroom of a Safeway store, put four and a half cases of beer in a cart, and exits through an emergency fire door. While the suspect’s exit sets off an audible alarm, employees don’t hear it until later. The suspect’s actions are caught on surveillance camera and the store will provide a copy of the tape to police.

Jan. 30, 23800 block of Hwy 99: A man is arrested for shoplifting a case of hard lemonade and deli food from Safeway.

Jan. 29, 22800 block of Hwy 99: An employee of Rite Aid is assaulted by a woman after confronting her as she was stealing a backpack full of cigarettes. The suspect flees in a vehicle; police arrest her at her residence.

Jan. 28, 300 Sunset Avenue: A homeowner reports that someone broke into his garage and spent the night inside a vehicle, then stole approximately $20 in change and the garage door opener.
