Lady Warriors lose, Mavericks win

Edmonds-Woodway’s girls basketball team dropped a 56-54 contest to Marysville-Pilchuck at the Northwest 4A District Tournament Friday night. Angela Woods scored 12 and Sydney Donaldson added 10 for Edmonds-Woodway.

The Lady Warriors now face Shorewood at 6 p.m. next Tuesday, Feb. 23 at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, a must-win game to keep alive their hopes of earning a berth to the state 4A tournament.

Meadowdale’s girls, meanwhile, downed Shorecrest 62-58 in a 3A District Tournament game Friday night. Margreet Barthoum scored 24 points for the Lady Mavericks and Gabi Beyer contributed 14 to lead Meadowdale.
