For the first time since 1993, Edmonds-Woodway will play in the state high school girls basketball tournament.

The Lady Warriors (22-2) earned a trip to the Tacoma Dome next week with a convincing 69-44 win over Arlington Friday night at Marysville-Pilchuck High School.

The team, which has no seniors, was led by junior Ashley Albertson’s 19 points. Junior Alex Kenney added 18. Two other Warriors scored in double figures: Sydney Donaldson with 11 points and Angela Woods with 10. The victory also gave Edmonds-Woodway third place in the 4A District tournament.
