Middle and high school students are invited to enter the City of Edmonds’ “Bring Your Own Bag” poster contest, aimed at reinforcing the city’s campaign to promote reusable bags whenever and wherever people shop.
The contest theme is “Bring Your Own Bag for a Better Environment.” Eligible students must be currently enrolled in grades 7-12 at Meadowdale High School, Edmonds-Woodway High School, Meadowdale Middle School, College Place Middle School or Edmonds Homeschool Resource Center. Also eligible are middle and high school students enrolled in a private school within Edmonds city limits, students who are home-schooled and live within city limits, and students who live within city limits but attend a school outside city limits.
Cash prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place finishers. Entries must be submitted at the Edmonds Public Library, 650 Main St., by 4 p.m. Saturday, April 10.
Contest guidelines will be distributed to the local middle and high schools. Please contact Jen Machuga at machuga@ci.edmonds.wa.us for a copy of the guidelines and entry form.
