The Edmonds-Woodway Jazz Combo placed first at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival this past weekend in Moscow, Idaho. E-W Jazz Ensemble I and many soloists from the band also received recognition. This news comes on top of the most recent news that E-W Jazz Ensemble I was recently selected to participate in the prestigious Essentially Ellington competion in New York, N.Y. in May.
