Meadowdale’s boys basketball team kept its hopes alive for a 5th or 8th place state tournament trophy, defeating the Foster Bulldogs 55-43 in the consolation round of the state 3A basketball tournament at the Tacoma Dome Thursday. Connor Hamlett led the Mavericks with 30 points and 10 rebounds.
The Mavericks will play next at 12:30 p.m. Friday, facing Renton High School. The winner of that game will play for 5th or 8th place Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Tacoma Dome.
