Warrior girls’ tennis downs Mountlake Terrace

It was a warm spring day for high school tennis as the Edmonds-Woodway girls defeated Mountlake Terrace 6-1 in Wesco South play Wednesday.

At No. 1 singles, Amanda Waldron d. Teryn Bouche (MLT) 6-1, 6-3; No. 2 Michelle Nelson d. Gillian Braden-Armstrong (MLT) 6-2, 6-1; No. 3 Jane Hong d. Patricia Isia (MLT) 6-1, 6-0 and No. 4 Michelle Tran lost to Kendal Stead (MLT) 6-7 (4), 6-4, 0-6. The No. 1 doubles team of Sophie Roben-Sarah Fine d. Corine Pingle-Kristen Wagner (MLT) 6-1, 6-1 while No. 2 doubles Liz Wilson-Annie Wilson d. Stephanie Roesli-Lynsey Lorraine (MLT) 6-1, 6-3 and No. 3 doubles Aneka Vo-Erika Kniffin d. Andrea Guiffrida-Carly Wicklander(MLT) 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.

The Warriors’ next match is Friday at Lynnwood High School.
