Creating a community garden

Volunteers show up bright and early Saturday morning at Edmonds Christian Church to begin work on a community garden. Organized by the Floretum Garden Club, the garden will provide an opportunity for citizens without sun or space to grow their own organic vegetables and flowers. The garden will also provide fresh food for the Edmonds Food Bank.
  1. BRAVO! to the Edmonds Floretum Garden Club and, in particular, Betty Larman without whose energy this project would not have happened so quickly.

  2. I could not believe how hard those kids worked and for how long – must have been 4 hours steadily. As Betty Larman told them afterwards, now they know how it’s done they can create a community garden anywhere, on their own.
