Edmonds-Woodway High School is seeking community members to be panelists on a team that will be evaluating Culminating Projects that the seniors are required to present prior to their graduation in the spring. The event takes place at the high school on Friday, May 7, beginning with an overview at 11:30 a.m. sharp, then the break-out session to a classroom where three to four presentations will be given. Each presentation lasts approximately 20 minutes. Estimated time of completion is 2 p.m.
No prior experience is required; panelists would be objectively listening and evaluating each presenter and scoring the overall presentation to a set of standards on a rubric. “This is a fun and informative way to learn about something through the eyes of the student, and gives the student a wider audience and greater perspective in their scores,” said Rita Gunderson, EWHS senior project coordinator.
The school needs approximately 25 more community members to be panelists. If you are interested in volunteering, contact
Gunderson via email at GundersonR@edmonds.wednet.edu.
