Rescued scuba diver remains at Stevens Hospital

A 62-year-old man who experienced a medical emergency while scuba diving in Edmonds last Saturday afternoon is still at Stevens Hospital, according to a hospital spokesman.

Steve Kaiser, Stevens director of marketing, communications and public relations, said Tuesday that the patient has not given permission for details to be released about his condition.

Firefighters received a report of a diver in distress at the underwater park just north of the Edmonds Ferry Dock at 1:48 p.m. Saturday. After arriving at the scene, Snohomish County Fire District No. 1 paramedics transported the man to Stevens Hospital.
