Edmonds firefighters participated in a hazardous material drill conducted last week at the Snohomish Fire District 1 Training Center.

Over the course of several days, all Fire District 1 crews took turns participating in the drill, which simulated a hazardous materials incident at a senior care facility with 32 patients. Firefighters practiced setting up tents and equipment to decontaminate patients who could walk as well as those unable to walk.
