It’s National Police Week, and the Edmonds Police Department will be holding its annual awards ceremony on Monday to recognize the accomplishments of local police officers as well as the individual efforts of citizens who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

The ceremony will honor 17 public safety employees and four citizens, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the City of Edmonds Council Chambers at 250 5th Ave. N. Invocation and benediction will be offered by Police Chaplain Phil Assink, and Edmonds Mayor Gary Haakenson and Police Chief Al Compaan will speak.
